Laboratory of hybrid nanomaterial synthesis

Equipment:

  • Vacuum line for the synthesis of polymers and composites using the ATRP method
  • System for thin layers deposition (Layer-by-Layer method)
  • Muffle furnace, vacuum driers, hydraulic press
  • High-speed centrifuge with cooling system
  • Pressure reactor (autoclave) (ROTH)

Parameters:

This laboratory is equipped with preparative fume cupboards where chemical syntheses of: (1) macromolecular compounds (polymers, organometallic complexes based on polymers), (2) nanoparticles of functional ceramic compounds and (3) precursors of structured metal oxides in the form of thin layers (LbL system ). The modern methods of material synthesis used are performed under atmospheric pressure, hydrothermal conditions (using an autoclave, max. pressure is 40 bar) or under reduced pressure (vacuum line for ATRP synthesis). The obtained compounds can then be centrifuged, dried/fired and pressed using available equipment.
