Congratulations to our graduate, Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Piechocki, whose doctoral thesis was completed at the Department of Molecular Physics, under the supervision of prof. Marcin Kozanecki, was awarded in the 24th competition for the award of the Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship.

Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Piechocki graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Lodz University of Technology with an engineering degree in Chemistry and Chemistry of Building Materials, and a Master's degree in Nanotechnology. In 2015, he started doctoral studies at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Lodz University of Technology, during which he conducted research on hydrogels based on poly(oligo(ethylene glycol) methacrylates). In 2016, he received a research grant from the National Science Center as part of the Preludium program. Already as a student of Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Piechocki was actively involved in scientific research conducted at KFM and completed numerous internships, including a summer internship in the materials laboratory at Corning Optical Communications, an internship at the Łódź Bionanopark, and an internship at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz (Germany). His activities resulted in seven scientific publications in renowned scientific journals and over 30 announcements at national and international conferences, as well as numerous awards such as: Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Scientific Scholarship for particularly talented students of the Lodz University of Technology, Scientific Scholarship of the Marshal Łódź Voivodeship, Scholarship of the City of Łódź, Scholarship of the Rector of the Lodz University of Technology and "Half a Century Later" - an award for the best graduate of master's studies in 2015. In 2020, Mr. Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Piechocki started his career in industry, first as a quality specialist at Amcor, and from August 2022 at Corning Optical Communications as a materials engineer.
